Ubuntu 10.10 Has Arrived On 10/10/2010
Just as planned, Ubuntu 10.10 has been released today on the 10th of October, 2010. Ubuntu 10.10 has many features and improvements that we have talked about over the past several months from an updated kernel and GNOME desktop to Btrfs installation improvements.
As Ubuntu 10.10, which is codenamed the Maverick Meerkat, has been discussed so extensively already, just head on over to the release announcement (which was timed to be sent at 10:10 AM) for download links, if interested.
During the entire Ubuntu 10.10 development cycle we benchmarked the latest packages on a daily basis at ubuntu-tracker.phoromatic.com. We will also have formal benchmarks of this latest Ubuntu Linux release being published tomorrow.
The next release is Ubuntu 11.04 and will be here in April.
