Yesterday AMD had snuck out the Athlon 64 X2 5200+ processor. This model is virtually the same as the X2 5000+ except it appends another Megabyte of L2 cache. The AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ specifications consist of a 2.60GHz operating frequency, 2MB L2 Cache, x86_64, AM2 Socket, and 2GHz HyperTransport. The price for the AMD 5200+ will be $403 USD, while the 5000+ is $301 for its PIB price.
