Canonical Works Out Plans For RTM Version Of Ubuntu Phone

Following a developer meeting in Malta, Colin Watson has laid out his plans for getting the Ubuntu Phone software stack and release processes into shape for getting an "RTM" version this current development cycle. The RTM version will likely be managed using the Launchpad "derived distribution" functionality, but some improvements are being made right now to allow this process to work smoothly.

So far BQ and Meizu are the only two companies we know of that plan to start shipping Ubuntu Phones in 2014.
