openSUSE 13.1 M4 Brings Ruby-Based YaST

The fourth and final development milestone of openSUSE 13.1 is now available. This development release ahead of the official openSUSE 13.1 debut in November is the first to integrate the new version of SUSE's YaST that is written in Ruby.

Two months ago we wrote about a Ruby-based version of YaST being in development and now it's finally made its debut in the openSUSE world. YaST was formerly written in its own crusty YCP programming language but now it's been translated into Ruby.

Other changes to openSUSE 13.1 Milestone 4 include KDE Workspaces 4.11 RC2, GNOME Desktop 3.9.4, QEMU 1.6.0-rc1, LibreOffice 4.1, ModemManager 1.0.0, scons 2.3.0, and a host of other package updates and changes.
