AMD Closes The Operating System Research Center
I've been reporting for a number of days that AMD has been letting go Linux developers and last week found more AMD Linux developers were let go from the Operating System Research Center in Germany. At that time I mentioned that there was word AMD would be closing its entire OSRC with around two dozen developers.
This is indeed the case and AMD's Operating System Research Center is being closed and these Linux developers responsible for new CPU/chipset enablement, compiler optimizations, virtualization improvements, and other linux kernel work are out of work. At least though the open-source AMD Linux graphics work isn't part of the OSRC.
The H has also been able to independently confirm this information too about the unfortunate closure of the AMD OSRC.
