AMD Loses Some Linux Kernel Developers

Andreas Herrmann, Robert Richter, and Borislav Petkov are no longer at AMD. Hitting the kernel mailing list have been patches to update their email addresses to reflect their personal email addresses now that their AMD.com emails are no longer active.
These AMD Linux developers were responsible for maintaining the AMD cpufreq, powernow-k8, fam15h_power, the AMD microcode, and other critical parts of AMD's CPU support on Linux.
Details of their layoffs aren't known at the moment or what other AMD Linux engineers may have lost their jobs, but it was earlier this month that news got out that AMD would be slashing around 15% of its workforce citing a slow PC market and ongoing financial problems at the company.
