PHORONIX
Phoronix Test Suite 3.6-Arendal is now officially available as of this morning.

Version 3.6 of the Phoronix Test Suite is now available from Git and as packages at Phoronix-Test-Suite.com. All users of this open-source automated testing framework are encouraged to upgrade and it should be a seamless upgrade path from existing PTS3 installations. Updated documentation is here (PDF).

Among the features of Phoronix Test Suite 3.6-Arendal is enhanced support for BSD and Solaris operating systems, various graphing improvements in pts_Graph, expanded Phodevi (Phoronix Device Interface) library coverage, greater OpenBenchmarking.org integration, and various bug-fixes. The short change-log is embedded below and the press release will officially go out shortly.

Phoronix Test Suite 3.6-Arendal will be succeeded by Phoronix Test Suite 3.8-Bygland in the first quarter of 2012, which will end out the PTS3 series. A rollout of improvements to OpenBenchmarking.org is expected before the end of the calendar year.

Phoronix Test Suite 3.6 benchmarking platform is compatible with Linux, Solaris, BSD, Mac OS X, and Windows operating systems.

Questions and feedback are welcome in the forums or via email. Commercial support for the Phoronix Test Suite is available.
