Linux 4.3-rc5: The Cycle Is Going Smooth
About 4.3-rc5, Linus noted in the release announcement, "The 4.3 release cycle continues to be fairly smooth - knock wood. There's nothing particularly worrying here: we had some annoying fallout from the new strscpy stuff (it's not actually *used* anywhere yet, but we had build failures on some architectures), and a vfs layer change uncovered an ancient and fascinating ext bug, but on the whole things look pretty normal."
Overall, Linux 4.3 looks very exciting. Daily kernel benchmarks on Ubuntu and Fedora continue to be done over at LinuxBenchmarking.com.
