Linux 4.3-rc5: The Cycle Is Going Smooth
About 4.3-rc5, Linus noted in the release announcement, "The 4.3 release cycle continues to be fairly smooth - knock wood. There's nothing particularly worrying here: we had some annoying fallout from the new strscpy stuff (it's not actually *used* anywhere yet, but we had build failures on some architectures), and a vfs layer change uncovered an ancient and fascinating ext[34] bug, but on the whole things look pretty normal."
Overall, Linux 4.3 looks very exciting. Daily kernel benchmarks on Ubuntu and Fedora continue to be done over at LinuxBenchmarking.com.
