Examination:

From the exterior the most prominent difference between the SilverStone SG03 and SG04 is the case handle on the latter. The SG04 has a top-mounted die-cast aluminum handle. This handle makes it very easy to transport the computer to and from places (such as LAN parties) if you don't happen to have a Sugo Pack. The handle fits well into the case's design and is still aesthetically pleasing. Even if this case is loaded up with very heavy components and dual graphics cards, the handle should have no problems with becoming loose.

The front of the SG04 is also sleeker than its earlier counterpart. The SG03 had a fine metal mesh that covered most of the bezel, but with the fourth version of the Sugo, it's a mostly solid metal front. However, there is room for air to enter the chassis near the sides. There is a single 120mm fan intake but there is room for an additional 120mm fan to be installed. At the top of the case is the external 5.25" drive bay while on the left hand side the external 3.5" drive bay can be exposed by opening an aluminum flap along with two USB 2.0 ports, headphone and microphone jacks, and an IEEE-1394 Firewire port. The reset switch is also concealed behind this aluminum flap while on the right hand side is the power switch. SilverStone's logo is clearly printed in the middle of the case.

The panel on the left and right sides of the case are virtually identical to the SG03. On the left panel is a mesh window that allows for additional airflow into this case for the system components or power supply depending upon how the power supply is positioned.
