For OpenJDK Java workloads, the Zen 4 processors were showing nice uplift over Zen 3 while in some cases the Intel Alder Lake processors continued fighting for the top spot.
Alder Lake also continued competing with Zen 4 when it came to the OpenSCAD open-source CAD modeling software.
The Zen 4 processors did squeeze past the Core i9 12900K for delivering the best performance with GNU Octave as this popular open-source alternative to MATLAB.
The Zen 4 processors also performed very well with the Ngspice circuit simulator.
