Conclusion:

The race between the PQI modules and the OCZ modules was very close. There was little or no difference between them performance-wise. What makes the OCZ’s stand out is the extremely tight timings that it was able to maintain while running at such high speeds. The Samsung TCCD chips on the PQI’s were not able to do that sort of timing at all. Tight timings resulted in good memory bandwidth, which translated into some real performance increases in our benchmarks. OCZ clearly has some impressive modules here. If you’re looking for high memory speeds and tight timings, we have a winner here from OCZ. On top of that, OCZ’s lifetime warranty and generous Extended Voltage Proctection policy are hard to beat. We here at Phoronix proudly give the GX our Editor’s Choice award for excellence.

Pros:

· Blazing speeds and tight timings
· Very nice looking heatspreaders
· EVP (Extended Voltage Protection)
· Perfect for overclockers looking for quality UTT chips
· ULN (Ultra Low Noise) technology

Cons:

· Heatspreaders could potentially inhibit heat disappation
