The Qt Group today announced the release of Qt Creator 9 as the newest feature release to this open-source Qt/C++ focused integrated development environment.

Qt Creator 9 has added an initial plug-in for Squish integration. Squish is for automated GUI testing with this software originally developed by Froglogic that is designed for GUI and regression testing. The Qt Group acquired Froglogic last year and continues to offer Squish as a commercial automated GUI testing solution.

Qt Creator 9 also adds dark theme support to the Qt and Qt Creator documentation, a new option for visualizing the indentation of lines in a file, support for using a single Clangd instance for the entire Qt Creator session rather than one instance per project, QML file handling improvements, and support for CMake configure and build presets. Qt Creator also continues working to improve its Docker integration.
