NVIDIA 465.19.01 Linux Beta Driver Released
NVIDIA's 465.19.01 Linux driver release brings many bug fixes but also some new features/improvements. The NVIDIA 465.19.01 Linux beta highlights include:
- New Vulkan extensions of KHR_synchronization2, KHR_workgroup_memory_explicit_layout, and KHR_zero_initialize_workgroup_memory.
- NVIDIA's Vulkan driver now supports linear images for use with host-visible video memory.
- Runtime D3 power management is enabled by default on supported notebooks with Ampere GPUs or newer.
- The NVIDIA Linux driver installer now installs and enables new NVIDIA systemd units for enabling "advanced suspend, hibernate and resume functionality".
- The NVIDIA X driver now allows OpenGL applications running on an X.Org Server that has left the active VT to now continue running but at a capped frame-rate.
- Many bug fixes.
