With OpenArena the 890GX again had the odd issue of performing poorly at the two lower resolutions, but besides that, the performance of the 880G was close to the same. Fortunately, OpenArena is not too taxing on the Catalyst driver even with these IGPs so either graphics processor can handle this game quite well at any resolution.

When running Warsow on the 890GX there was not the peculiar performance drop at 1024 x 768, but there was at 1280 x 1024, which led to the average frame-rate of the 880G being somewhat higher. This is likely a Catalyst driver issue. Regardless, the discrete Radeon HD 4670 continues to slam these IGPs.

VDrift is not playable at all with either the AMD 880G or 890GX chipsets.
