Corsair DHX 4GB DDR2-800MHz

The heatspreaders with Corsair's DHX is their newest cooling technology. Dual-Path Heat Xchange has (according to Corsair) optimized fins to maximize ambient airflow through the module array, extruded aluminum heatsinks to maximize convective heat dissipation, and a dedicated PCB heatsink. Dual-Path Heat Xchange can be found on several XMS2 (DDR2) modules as well as XMS3 (DDR3) modules. In addition, this cooling solution is also used by Corsair's high-end DOMINATOR series with DDR2 and DDR3 models. DHX should help overclockers in achieving optimal timings and frequencies over memory with less-advanced heatspreaders or no cooling solution at all. The DHX heatspreaders did remind us a bit of OCZ's Flex XLC cooling solution, but without the water-cooling support, of course.

One side of the DHX cooler has a generic XMS2 DHX sticker while listed on the other side of the cooler is the part number (CM2X2048-6400C4DHX), XMS-6400, 2048MB, 800MHz, 4-4-4-12, and 2.10V. The memory we had our hands on is version 1.1. This memory can support running at DDR2-800MHz with 4-4-4-12-2T timings when supplied with 2.1V of power. This memory is compatible with NVIDIA's Enhanced Performance Profiles (EPP). The JEDEC standard for this memory is 5-5-5-18 timings at 800MHz.
