AMD Ryzen 9 3900X vs. Intel Core i9 9900K Performance In 400+ Benchmarks
Total War: Three Kingdoms is one of the newest Linux game ports out of Feral Interactive and for this Vulkan-powered game on Linux the performance was similar across the board between the Core i9 and Ryzen 9 processors.
One of the games/engines where the Ryzen 9 performance came out stronger than the Core i9 9900K was with Croteam's Serious Sam games. In the past we've seen Croteam's Linux titles scale better to multiple cores than most Linux games, so that may explain the measurable difference in these tests, albeit not the most popular game/engine anyhow.
F1 2018 runs on Linux via Steam Play and here the performance was better on the Core i9 9900K.
