Here is a look at the side-by-side comparison for all of the Linux gaming tests with a measurable difference between the systems:

If summing it up with the geometric mean of all the results....

The Core i9 9900K was ahead of the Ryzen 9 3900X by just under 2%. That's in comparison to the system/CPU benchmarks where the Ryzen 9 3900X had a ~5% lead.

If looking at the number of first place finishes in the gaming tests of the 112 runs regardless of the magnitude of win, the Core i9 9900K was in front 82% of the time. So the Core i9 9900K across this wide spectrum of Linux gaming tests was more favorable than the Ryzen 9 3900X, but in the 300+ heavy system/CPU benchmarks it was in leaning in favor of AMD with this round of benchmarking off Ubuntu 19.10 + Linux 5.3.
