AMD Ryzen 9 3900X vs. Intel Core i9 9900K Performance In 400+ Benchmarks
The Linux gaming benchmarks were done at a variety of resolutions and settings while using a mix of OpenGL and Vulkan native Linux games as well as some emulated games making use of Valve's Steam Play (Proton + DXVK) support that enables Windows games to run on Linux that otherwise lack the support. (Note for all gaming tests, both systems were using their performance frequency scaling Linux governor.)
Batman: Arkham Origins is one of the Steam Play tests. Like with many games to be shown, when starting at 1080p the Core i9 9900K leads the race but by the time of hitting 4K where the Radeon graphics are being stressed, it's a competitive race between the two processors.
With OpenGL games, it was a similar story like the demanding Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Linux port.
DiRT Rally 2.0 under Steam Play saw similar performance.
Dota 2 was faster with the Core i9 9900K both when using the OpenGL renderer and when switching over to Vulkan.
