Pictures are often referred to as being worth 1,000 words, but is this truly the case? What we have in front of us today is like nothing else we've ever seen and is so dramatically jaw dropping that even still while looking at this item first hand it still seems to be so unreal. The attention to detail and artisanship put into the custom Phoronix combat chassis makes these pictures well worth 1,000 words. This product is none other than the KickButtComputer's Signature Combat chassis with exclusive customizations for Phoronix. In this exclusive presentation, we have pictures and our comments on how KickButtComputers is aiming to revolutionize the meaning of a pre-modded computer chassis, so without further ado let’s begin!

Due to the exclusitivity of KickButtComputers’ products, this article will take a slightly different approach from our usual ATX chassis reviews, and due to the fact, KickButtComputers provides an entire computer system with components and lighting rather than a simple enclosure. As we had mentioned in our initial preview, KickButtComputers only began offering their wares online due to advancements in shipping and packaging techniques after years of research and a great deal of money. Below are some pictures of their dual-packaging technique. This process utilizes a horde of Styrofoam packaging peanuts, old newspaper, and two cardboard containers.

Unloading the KickButtComputers Signature Combat chassis, and removing all shipping protective safeguards, we were simply in shock to say the least. Even before the system was powered up, the attention to detail and build quality was simply among the best we’ve ever seen. Although we cannot reveal KickButtComputers’ patented manufacturing techniques for their modified chassis, they use laser and water cutting tools for creating such precise cutouts in the diamond plating used throughout the chassis. The common link between the systems in the Signature series is the heavy use of diamond plating for improving the appearance of the otherwise clear chassis. The actual base of the enclosure is composed of some thick acrylic, similar to many of the cases on the market available in many varieties from various manufacturers. The base, which is manufactured by Logisys, complies with standard ATX specifications and provides more than enough room for the various components. Throughout the case, it’s important to note that all of the various diamond-plated parts are attached to the chassis through the best of stainless steel nuts and bolts while hand mounting everything to achieve a near perfect and long-lasting product. With this design however, the diamond plating isn't flat against the acrylic container so proper caution needs to be asserted when transporting the system not to cause damage.
