As the engineers at KickButtComputers continue the same theme throughout the entire system down to the lighting, cable management, etc..., all of their work is done on a custom basis they currently don’t offer their cases for sale individually instead opting for selling a fully loaded system. The components we received in our Combat chassis with Phoronix modifications included an MSI i915P Neo2 Platinum, Intel Pentium 4 530 (3.0GHz), Gigabyte 6600GT 128MB PCI Express, 2 x 512MB DDR2-533MHz, Hitachi IBM 80GB SATA 7200RPM, Sony DVD-ROM, Sony DVD-R, Sony FDD, Ultra Products X-Connect PSU, and Thermaltake Silent775 CPU Cooler. Of course, there’s also numerous other lighting and cooling products used throughout the chassis that can be seen from the pictures. KickButtComputers also claims to use a “souped up” install of Microsoft Windows XP for its computers; however, we had requested our build to not contain any pre-installed operating system, as they have no expertise with Linux. So with that said, let’s give it some power!
