Linux 2.6.37-rc3 Kernel Comes Around

One week after the relatively painless Linux 2.6.37-rc2 release came about, the third release candidate for the Linux 2.6.37 kernel has come around.

The Linux 2.6.37-rc3 kernel, like its predecessor, is an unexciting release as well with just a smaller than usual amount of churn and bug-fixes. A majority of the Linux 2.6.36-rc3 release is made up of DRM graphics driver fixes, which upset Linus earlier this week for a variety of reasons.

The Linux 2.6.37-rc3 kernel release can be found at LKML.org. The latest kernel code for Linux continues to be benchmarked daily at kernel-tracker.phoromatic.com. The Linux 2.6.37 release brings the ability to build the core kernel code without the BKL (Big Kernel Lock), various graphics improvements, an Intel Poulsbo driver, the Broadcom 802.11n WiFi Linux driver, and much more.
