LINUX KERNEL
The seventh weekly release candidate to the Linux 4.6 kernel is now available.

Linus Torvalds mentioned it's been a very quiet week and he almost went ahead and tagged Linux 4.6 this weekend, but instead he opted on the side of safety and announced 4.6-rc7 as what should be the final test version. So unless nothing serious comes about in the next week.

With the Linux 4.6 official release being just around the corner, if you're not familiar with the changes of this new kernel version, see our usual feature overview about this new kernel. Details on Linux 4.6-rc7 can be found via this mailing list message.
