Linux 4.4-rc4 Released: Not Too Exciting

When releasing the Linux 4.4 kernel a few minutes ago, Linus Torvalds noted there were more commits than last week, but "it's been pretty calm" and "everything looks fairly nornmal" in terms of the bug/regression fixes over the past seven days. As I noted earlier, there is a nice helping of various open-source DRM graphics driver updates to fix various outstanding issues.
If you are not familiar with the Linux 4.4 new kernel features, see our kernel feature overview. The Linux 4.4-rc4 announcement can be read via the IU LKML archives.
