Linux 4.1 Will Be An LTS Kernel Release

The upcoming Linux 4.1 kernel release will be supported for the long-haul by the Linux Foundation's LTSI project.

The Linux Long-Term Support Initative has announced that the 4.1 kernel will be the LTS version of 2015. Those unfamiliar with the LTSI can visit its project page.

The Linux 4.1 kernel should be officially released in the next few weeks and with its premiere will come a number of exciting new features.
