Among the speakers at LinuxCon 2011 were Jim Whitehurst, Dan Frye, Jon Hall, Eben Moglen, Phil Robb, Mark Charlebois, Greg Kroah-Hartman, and of course Linus Torvalds.

To celebrate the 20th birthday of Linux, a special "Roaring 20's" themed gala was held at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom on Wednesday night. It was a lively party and with plenty of food and drinks, courtesy of Intel's Open-Source Technology Center. The gala was themed quite well. The beer was not too impressive, but the Singapore Slings were good.
