There is not too much variation in the test results between the five Linux operating systems and the FFmpeg video encoding performance.

With the x264 benchmark the only outlier was Arch Linux, which was running noticeably behind the other distributions.

With Himeno, openSUSE, Ubuntu, Fedora, and PCLinuxOS all ran at about the same speed, but Arch Linux again was running behind.

openSUSE, Ubuntu, and Fedora ran about the same with the OpenMP-powered GraphicsMagick benchmark, but PCLinuxOS joined Arch Linux in running slower than the rest.
