Examination:

The keyboard on the Inspiron 1525 is a fairly standard Dell notebook keyboard and above that is the power button and multi-media buttons. The touchpad on the Inspiron 1525 is appropriately sized.

The 15.4" wide-screen XGA display is glossy and has a maximum resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. During our testing we found this screen to have great viewing angles, excellent colors, and no problems to speak of. Above the screen is the integrated 2.0MP web-camera.

The ruby red colored finish on the exterior of the notebook is excellent. From our testing it appears to be highly durable and would require some force to even scratch the finish. On with the left side of the Dell Inspiron 1525 there is the port for the AC power adapter, two USB 2.0 ports, VGA output, one 10/100 Ethernet, one telephone modem jack, HDMI, and one Firewire port. Behind the power connector is also a Kensington lock slot.

On the right side of the notebook are the Express Card slot, CD/DVD burner, S-Video output, and two USB 2.0 ports.

On the backside of the Dell Inspiron 1525 the backside of the battery can be seen along with an exhaust area from the notebook's cooler.

At the front of the notebook are one microphone input and two headphone jacks. There is also an integrated card reader next to these audio ports. The connectivity with this notebook is excellent especially with having an HDMI port accompany the VGA and S-Video outputs. On the bottom of the notebook are the various serial numbers and different panels that can be removed to access the inside of this Dell notebook.
