DiRT Rally 2.0 is now possible to run on Linux and do so well using the latest Vulkan drivers paired with Steam Play / DXVK. In our first look at the Radeon VII on DiRT Rally 2.0 under Linux, its performance came frames ahead of the RTX 2080 and GTX 1080 Ti.

The Radeon VII for this Steam Play racing game continued running smoothly even at 4K with high quality settings where its minimum frame-rate was just above 60 FPS. The average frame-rates were in line with the GeForce RTX 2080 and GTX 1080 Ti.

Hitman 2 is another Windows game running nicely now on Linux with Steam Play. Again, the Radeon VII performance on its open-source driver was right in line with the RTX 2080 and GTX 1080 Ti but with higher spikes for the frame time.
