With Deus Ex: Mankind Divided we see the NVIDIA performance doesn't change much although from PCI-E 1.0 to 2.0 is a measurable difference while the Radeon R9 Fury is much more broadly affected with its performance doubling between PCI-E Gen1 and PCI-E Gen2.

DiRT Rally also saw a big boost in performance on the R9 Fury from 1.0 to 2.0, but only a small boost in performance with 3.0. Interestingly, in this test the GTX 1080 Ti was hanging with the 381.22 driver.

With Dota 2 there is a big boost in performance for the R9 Fury from Gen1 to Gen2, but no impact by Gen3. Meanwhile, the NVIDIA driver sees a very small impact.

And Dota 2 with Vulkan also shows PCI-E 1.0 to 2.0 being the biggest impact for these tested graphics cards.
