Wine Takes Minor Performance Hit Running Windows Programs On Linux With KPTI

First up was the 3DMark03 test. This is a graphics test and when running native Linux gaming tests with Radeon/NVIDIA graphics there was basically no real change in performance stemming from the KPTI patches. But with 3DMark03 on Wine whne KPTI was enabled there was about a 3% drop in performance... Small but measurable and greater than the flux going from Linux 4.14 to 4.15 (non-KPTI).

With 3DMark05, the overall score was also 3% lower when Kernel Page Table Isolation was active.

Aside from the 3DMark score, when it comes to the graphics tests it meant losing a few frames on the generally sub-60 FPS tests.
