Examination:

Unlike the Tagan ITZ 1300W that had a "titanium coating mirror finish", this time around Tagan has went with a drab black anti-scratch paint. The finish though is quite good by our standards. On the bottom of the power supply is a thermal-regulated 135mm clear LED fan while adding additional color to the power supply are the modular connectors. Tagan has gone with colored connectors to prevent confusion amongst its customers when installing this power supply. The red and green connectors are for PCI Express and the blue are for SATA/molex. These LED light cables are only illuminated when a cable is connected. Tagan refers to this solution as PipeRock modular cable management.

The dimensions for the Tagan BZ 900W power supply are 5.9 x 3.4 x 6.3 inches and the product's gross weight is 7.54lbs. Each of the six +12V rails has a maximum output of 20A and 840W maximum combined output while the +3.3V and +5V rails have a 26A maximum current. This power supply supports a Turbo mode, which automatically can combine the six +12V rails to serve as a single +12V rail. We have seen features similar to that on other power supplies we have reviewed.

The BZ 900W power supply includes the following connectors: one motherboard 20+4 pin, one 4-pin ATX12V, one 8-pin EPS 12V, six 4-pin molex, one VGA 4-pin molex, one FDD, eight Serial ATA, two 6-pin PCI Express, and two 8-pin PCI Express. Each of these cables is sleeved in a plastic mesh. The BZ 900W PSU can therefore handle up to a quad graphics card system and supports both ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V v2.92.
