NVIDIA 375 vs. RADV+RadeonSI Mesa 13.1-dev Vulkan Benchmarks For Ending 2016
First up is Dota 2 7.00 with a resolution of just 800 x 600 to first run in a more CPU limited scenario.
The OpenGL results at 800 x 600 show both NVIDIA and AMD results running at the same speed, except that the NVIDIA performance (with the exception of the old GTX 650) the NVIDIA results were faster than RadeonSI. The NVIDIA results were about 15% faster than the RadeonSI open-source driver performance.
With Vulkan at 800 x 600, the results between the cards remained rather uninteresting but the difference between the AMD and NVIDIA results had shrunk. Now the NVIDIA results were only 13% or so faster than RADV, the open-source Radeon Vulkan driver considered unofficial by AMD while we wait for them to open up any of their Vulkan code. Note the GTX 650 was failing with Vulkan.
The CPU usage for OpenGL rendering at 800x600.... No big difference betweeen AMD and NVIDIA.
The CPU usage when using the Vulkan renderer was a few percent lower on average than the same cards tested with the OpenGL renderer. Between the RADV and NVIDIA Vulkan drivers there still wasn't much of a noticeable difference in CPU usage.
