With the PRO/Engineer test on the Intel Sandy Bridge hardware and high-end FirePro graphics, a CPU bottleneck appeared to be hit. The FirePro V7900 still came out ahead of its siblings, but was only 7% faster than the V7800.

Like the FirePro V5900, when running the Unigine Tropics test due to its demanding OpenGL needs under Linux, the frame-rate actually declined with the Cypress graphics processors. The FirePro V7900 frame-rate dropped by 23% compared to the V7800.
