Performance:

The hardware used in conjunction with the Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 was a Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 clocked at 3.00GHz, Gigabyte P965-DS3 motherboard, OCZ Flex XLC DDR2 memory, Gigabyte 8800GTS 640MB @ 626/1000MHz, PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750W, Chaintech AV-710, NEC ND-3540, and four Western Digital Serial ATA hard drives.

Then it was time to fire up this beast. I am sure many of you want to know if this thing is actually quiet or not. Well I will cut to the chase. IT IS SILENT. Well how silent? It is quiet enough that I rarely notice it is on unless the office is dead silent. The vibrations are minimal as well. It is just as quiet as the Antec P180 case, which is famous for its quietness!

How about temperatures? It is usually useless to measure all the temperatures inside the case. Everyone's room temperature is different. What counts is if the case is providing ventilation, or if it is smothering it. This can usually be detected by checking the difference between open case temperatures and closed case temperatures. The system was allowed to idle. When the case was closed and idling, it was roughly 32-33°C while under load it spiked at 51°C. Meanwhile, with the case open its idle temperature was 31-32°C with it being 50°C under load. It seems the ventilation is fairly good. The temperature differences are so small that it is negligible.
