LINUX KERNEL
Some 18 hours ago the Linux 2.6.34-rc2 version was tagged and is now available, but oddly we have yet to come across a kernel release announcement from Linus Torvalds. However, for those interested in the Linux 2.6.34-rc2 change-log is available.

Some of the highlights include support for a few Btrfs file-system fixes, a new Intel HDA controller in ALSA, and just a variety of other bug-fixes now that the 2.6.34 merge window was closed when the first release candidate for the Linux 2.6.34 kernel was made available nearly two weeks ago.
