AMDGPU 1.0 DDX Driver Released
The xf86-video-amdgpu DDX driver is for those with newer Tonga/Fiji/Carrizo/Stoney-type graphics cards to use in conjunction with the AMDGPU kernel driver. The xf86-video-amdgpu was adapted from xf86-video-ati to take advantage of the new DRM driver interfaces. For those not using one of these very latest GPUs, xf86-video-ati is the driver to use. The xf86-video-amdgpu driver can be used rather than the generic xf86-video-modesetting DDX.
Like other DDX drivers these days, xf86-video-amdgpu isn't too interesting with more of the prominent open-source graphics driver happenings taking place in Mesa and the Linux kernel DRM.
