Wine 1.7.40 Adds Support For Kernel Job Objects
Wine 1.7.40 was released this morning and besides closing over two dozen bugs, there's a handful of new features.
Per the announcement at WineHQ.org, the big ticket items for Wine 1.7.40 include:
- Support for kernel job objects
- Various fixes to the ListView control
- Better support for OOB data in Windows Sockets
- Support for DIB images in the OLE data cache
- Improved support for MSI patches
- Some fixes for ACL file permissions
- Various bug fixes
While Wine 1.7.40 now supports kernel job objects, you may recall that it was added back in Wine-Staging 1.7.38 for receiving some early testing along with other Wine experimental features. There's 29 known bug-fixes in this latest bi-weekly Wine development snapshot.
