The Python numerical performance was similar to Core i7 Haswell~Broadwell mobile CPUs out of the $199+ Motile M141.

The Intel CPUs do perform better currently for Zstd file compression.

With Mozilla's single-threaded DeepSpeech speech-to-text engine, the Ryzen 3 3200U performance was quite commendable.

With the Darktable RAW photography software, the Ryzen 3 3200U performed similar to the Core i7 Haswell/Broadwell CPUs.

This Ryzen 3 laptop in the $200 range does offer quite impressive value. GEGL is the imaging library used by The GIMP and other photo software.
