While dealing with quite a few file operations during the compilation process, the amount of time required to build ImageMagick was not impacted by the X25-E SSD. The Seagate Momentus 7200.2 HDD and Intel X25-E SSD had each required the same amount of time.

Compressing a 2GB file using Parallel BZIP2 (PBZIP2) had only led to a slight performance advantage with the X25-E SSD.
