Overall, like with Windows, the Intel 545s (SSDSC2KW51) has a very good showing under Linux with Ubuntu 17.04 and EXT4. This was generally the fastest SATA 3.0 SSD tested for this comparison and being priced around $180 USD for a 512GB capacity is a decent deal. You can find this drive in stock via NewEgg.com. If you wish to see how your own Linux system(s) compare to these disk results, simply install the Phoronix Test Suite and run phoronix-test-suite benchmark 1707147-TR-INTELSSD707.
