The EPYC Milan CPUs also performed very well for the cryptography benchmarks including John The Ripper, Botan, Crypto++, Aircrack-NG, and CPUminer-Opt.

Database benchmarks tested for launch-day included RocksDB and PostgreSQl.

For electronic design benchmarks via Ngspice going from Rome to Milan was around a 20% improvement.

EPYC Milan's Fortran performance was great tested with FFTE, HPCG, LAMMPS, NPB, Quantum Espresso, and NWChem.

For HPC Benchmarks there were NAS Parallel Benchmarks, Rodinia, HPCG, ASKAP, Quantum Espresso, FFTE, MT-DGEMM, AMG, NAMD, GROMACS, NWChem, LAMMPS, LULESH, Pennant, Incompact3D, OpenFOAM, GPAW, Caffe, Numpy, Numenta-NAB, Tensorflow-Lite, OpenVINO, oneDNN, and Lczero. From the EPYC 7742 2P to 7763 2P was a 30% improvement across these important benchmarks. Going from the EPYC 7F52 to 75F3 meanwhile yielded a 60% boost thank to doubling the cores/threads.
