Sudokut was not tested on the pure FreeBSD installations, but when comparing the FreeBSD and Linux kernels on Debian, the fastest was with the Linus Torvalds creation.

Like the Sudokut results on Debian, with the SQLite benchmark the fastest operating system continued to be Debian GNU/Linux and its EXT3 file-system over UFS2.

The FreeBSD user-land really struggles with the Himeno Poisson Pressure Solver compared to Debian's GNU user-land. The winner with both ThinkPad notebooks was Debian with the Linux kernel.
