Running GraphicsMagick with its resizing operation had continued in the trend of Debian -- regardless of its kernel -- running faster than FreeBSD itself. While there was not too much fluctuation in the results on the older ThinkPad, with the more recent T61 notebook the fastest Debian configuration was with the Linux kernel.

The floating-point arithmetic performance as measured by the BYTE Unix Benchmark did not change much with the tested software and hardware.
