ASUS Eee Top Fails With Linux
The first BYTE Unix Benchmark task was looking at the integer arithmetic performance. While the ASUS Eee Top has twice the RAM of the Elo systems, a faster hard drive, and uses a newer chipset, the 17A2 with its Celeron M exhibited by far the best integer performance.
The Elo 17A2 lost such a sharp lead over the Eee Top when it came to the floating-point performance, but still the difference is noticeable. Both systems are magnitudes faster than the Elo 1529L.
