AMD's heatsink that is included with the Athlon II X3 425 is not any different from the aluminum heatsinks found with other AM2/AM3 CPUs.

The Athlon II X3 425 was marked, "AMD Athlon II, ADX425WFK32GI CACYC AC 0940APMW 9A58154J90377, Diffused in Germany, Made in Malaysia."

This 938-pin processor with its 169mm2 die is compatible with AM2+ and AM3 motherboards. The integrated memory controller supports DDR2 memory up to 1066MHz and DDR3 up to 1333MHz.
