A-DATA Vitesta DDR2-800 Extreme

Conclusion:

While OCZ Technology is known as a premiere system memory brand and their Reaper HPC is topped by a heatpipe and an extra series of fins, when the Reaper HPC was clocked to the same speed and timings as the Vitesta DDR2-800 Extreme, A-DATA had actually pulled a slight lead in our Linux benchmarks. We were able to push this A-DATA DDR2-800 memory to DDR2-1066 with 5-5-5-16 timings, but beyond that the RAM couldn't sustain being overclocked much more than that. While A-DATA may not be a name that comes to mind immediately when thinking of DDR2 system memory, they have certainly showed with the Vitesta DDR2-800 Extreme Edition 2GB kit that they can be a worthy competitor and we look forward to looking at more A-DATA products under Linux in the future.
