Unity 6.6: Still Regressing On Performance?

As you can see from the variety of OpenGL games that were run full-screen as benchmarks in the stock Ubuntu environment when comparing the Unity/Compiz packages, the latest state of the default Ubuntu desktop as of yesterday is only staying the same or getting lower but no performance improvements were witnessed from the common Intel Ivy Bridge setup.
