Ubuntu 18.04 LTS vs. Fedora 28 vs. Clear Linux Benchmarks
With the Python 3 performance, Clear Linux again took the cake on all six systems -- including the AMD boxes.
Between Clear Linux and Ubuntu 18.04, the Intel Linux distribution was noticeably faster on all six test systems. (Fedora 28 results weren't available due to a build/dependency issue with its new GCC 8 compiler stack.)
Lastly were the PHP benchmarks where Clear Linux had another swoop and well outperformed Ubuntu 18.04 and Fedora 28.
Hopefully for the Fedora 29 and Ubuntu 18.10 development cycles we'll see more emphasis on better tuning their Linux performance.
