First up was BioShock Infinite, which has seen a great deal of optimizations by RadeonSI Gallium3D and benefits from the OpenGL shader cache, glthread, etc. In this case, the Radeon RX Vega 56 comes in line with the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti while the Vega 64 is slightly ahead of the GTX 1080 Ti. Though keep in mind the R9 Fury results here are quite close to Vega. As said already, AMD is just starting to work on Vega Linux performance optimizations now that they got the initial support in place. Meanwhile, AMDGPU-PRO 17.30 on the RX Vega 56 and Vega 64 is quite a bit slower than the open-source driver stack.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on the Radeon RX Vega series also performs better with the RadeonSI Gallium3D driver over AMDGPU-PRO. But this does show the Vega results coming in a bit short of expectations: the Vega 56 and 64 coming in between the GTX 1070 and GTX 1080. The GTX 1080 here is still 18% faster than the RX Vega 64. But at least the Vega 56 is competing with the GTX 1070.
