With the TSCP chess benchmark there wasn't much of a difference except for macOS 10.13.6 on its older Xcode release being the fastest.

The GraphicsMagick imaging results were a toss-up. In the highly-threaded operations where the OpenMP performance is better with the GCC compiler, the Linux distributions had the advantage while in the other tests the LLVM-based Xcode stack was yielding binaries of similar speed.

Between Ubuntu 18.04 and Clear Linux, the Intel distribution tended to have a measurable lead thanks to its compiler tuning and other optimizations.
